Masterpieces created from scrap material...

Basic forms are plotted using wood and polyurethane foam. A layer of Plaster of Paris is applied over the forms to structure the piece along with hessian fibre as reinforcement. Details are carved and sculpted into the plaster.

Experimenting with light to play with shadows...

The piece is painted with acyrlic paint in layers with the paint watered down to create an effect that resembles an old, weathered texture. 12V LED lights are fixed into tactful areas to cast shadows that appeal to the overall theme in the piece.

For the final touches...

The piece is accessorised and detailed with plants and handcrafted items relating to the theme of the piece. Artworks are framed with a glass to prevent dust and accidental damage from handling. Lastly, pieces can be mounted onto a wall.
